Early Life, Family & Education

Larry and Gwen Smith welcomed their first child, Ishmael “Ish” Smith, on June 5, 1988.

He was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his brother Gerald and sisters Serlethea and Latvia. Smith went to Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, North Carolina.
