      Early Life

Dorian was born on May 4, 1993, and was raised by his mother, Desiree Finney, in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Little was known about his father because Desiree was his only parent.

Benjamin Finney, Sha-Kiyla Finney, Late Ra-Shawn Finney, Da-Shawn Finney, and Monna Zjea Finney Smith were Dorian’s siblings.

Desiree used to care for the household finances and clean other people’s homes. She ultimately supported the family financially. Four of the kids received athletic scholarships because of her excellent guidelines.

Dorian had always been a confident child who was eager to learn. He was always ready for the challenges that life brought.

      Siblings

Speaking of his relatives, it is difficult to say if anyone is not a basketball player. There will undoubtedly be athletes in the household.

Benjamin Finney Smith, the point guard for I.C. Norcom in 2020, was 32 years old. He participated in Hargrave Military Academy football, basketball, and other sports.

Later on, he participated in the basketball team for the Monarchs. Ben was the family’s primary caregiver, second only to his mother.

Da-Shawn and Ra-Shawn are identical twins, but sadly, Ra-Shawn has passed away. Ra-Shawn participated in the Beta Club and Junior ROTC in high school.

He went by the moniker Peanut. According to the press, he was 18 years old when he was wounded at a meeting or late-night celebration in Chesapeake.

Just five minutes after his identical sibling, Da-Shawn, was born. He was a basketball player at Norcom High School as well.

Sha-Kiyla Finney, 29, played basketball for Wilson High and was named to the Second Team All-District. In 2013, she worked as a guard but was not selected. She is also a criminal justice student.

Basketball is Mona’s sport at Wilson High. She was selected for the 2017 MEAC All-Tournament team.

      High School Career

I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth was Dorian’s place of education. As a sophomore in 2009, he averaged 19.7 points, 13 boards, six assists, and three steals per game. After that, he undoubtedly joined Virginia Tech in 2010.

Dorian developed into the most important member of the Norcom squad while he was a player, and the team claimed the Group AAA, Eastern Region, and District crowns.

The forward for the Mavericks amassed numerous high school honors, including Class AAA Player of the Year and two VHSL championships. Additionally, he earned first-team all-region, all-state, all-Tidewater, and all-district recognition.

Not to add, as a competitor in his final year, Dorian shared the award for player of the year.

      College Career

In 2011–12, Dorian collaborated with Virginia Tech. After netting 17 points in a victory over Boston College during his rookie season, he was selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team.

He changed colleges after his first year and enrolled at Florida University. He was then given a six-month suspension in accordance with NCAA guidelines.

Dorian successfully rejoined Florida’s squad, and in his second year, he emerged as the team’s top scorer. He received the Sixth Man of the Year award from the Southeastern Conference.

According to all the coaches, Dorian was promoted to the All-Sec championship for a second time during his sophomore year.

He guided his group to victories over Jacksonville and Arkansas. For three straight seasons, he continued the pattern of being the top scorer and top defender.

Not to add, thanks to his outstanding performances, he joined the 1,000-point group.

      Professional Career

Despite receiving numerous awards and accolades in high school and college, Dorian was not selected in the 2016 NBA lottery.

He nevertheless began his career on July 8 with the Dallas Mavericks. Dorian was given a spot on the NBA Summer League squad for the first game.

On November 6, he helped his squad defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 86-75 with five points, three boards, three steals, and one block.

Dorian keeps his personal affairs secret and only occasionally discusses them in the context of his work.

Sinai, his daughter from a prior relationship, is slender and upbeat like her dad, and the two have an incredibly close relationship.

When Sinai was born, he was only sixteen years old. Sinai arrived at the perfect time for him as he struggled to cope with the devastating loss of his brother, Ra-Shawn.

According to rumors, Jazmyne gave birth to their boy Aysan while the Covid-19 epidemic was going on.

What’s more intriguing is that she gave birth to their boy in a bathroom full of water. Dorian was one of the two nurses she had at the time she was most susceptible.

On March 17, 2021, at 4:40 am, Aysen was born; shortly after, Dorian departed for the match in Portland.

His daughter is a third-grader. Apart from these, Dorian has always maintained a tight relationship with his family.

In honor of his late sibling, he has a tattoo that reads R-a-s-h-a-w-n on his torso.

      Net Worth

We cannot dispute Dorian’s dedication to providing for his family and himself. He is about to achieve achievement at its highest level.

He has won numerous accolades and recognitions for his solo performance in his brief tenure.

Dorian enjoys a nice existence and doesn’t have to work hard to maintain it.

Dorian signed a deal renewal with the same club, the Mavericks, in 2019, which gave him a yearly average wage of $4,000,000 and a $4,000,000 budget impact.

He is anticipated to have a salary impact of $12,402,000 and a dead limit of $12,402,000 in 2022–2023.

According to internet reports, Dorian Finney-Smith’s total personal worth as of 2023 was around $12 million.

      Social Media Presence

According to the Chinese calendar, Spencer was born in the year of the Rooster. Regarding Spencer’s physical features, the athletic player has an alluring appeal. Dinwiddle works out frequently to maintain his active way of life. The American player also has a height of 1.96 m and a weight of about 215 lb.

          High School Career

After High School Since Jordan Farmar, Spencer Dinwiddie was recognized as William Howard Taft High School’s best standout athlete. He averaged 5.9 pts and 4.1 assists as the starting point guard alongside fellow 2014 draft pick DeAndre.

As he started his last year of school, Spencer developed his abilities, averaging 11.2 points and 7.7 assists per game. Like in 2011, when he was recognized as one of the best passers in school history, the player was named the John R. Wooden California High School Player of the Year.

On the other hand, Ryan Anderson of Long Beach Poly won California Mr. Basketball. Only seven seniors, including the player, were given the special award.

          College Career

In Colorado’s first regular season game, Spencer played in his first collegiate game. In a 32-point victory over Fort Lewis, he collected seven rebounds and scored seven points. In his sixth game, which was against Georgia, Spencer scored twice. This was the first time he had a field goal percentage above.500.

The native of California inspired the team to victory by converting three critical free throws in the waning seconds. Spencer created another combo on his new team with fellow freshman Askia Booker.

They scored over 250 points each and combined for 677 points, breaking school records. On February 10, 2012, the American pitcher defeated Oregon State with a perfect game. He made 6-for-6 field goals, 4-for-4 three-pointers, and 8-for-8 free throws.

This established a new school record for the highest points scored in a single game without missing a single shot. Up to the beginning of his junior year, Spencer was the Colorado Buffaloes’ men’s basketball team captain.

He contributed to the team’s first 14 victories in their first 16 games of the regular season, which helped them become one of the most successful underdogs in the nation and beat Kansas Jayhawks in particular.

The surprising triumph of his team was made possible by Spencer. On November 21, 2012, he went a career-high 14 out of 15 from the line against Santa Barbara. Colorado’s top scorer totaled at least 20 points in every game that was won.

But on January 12, 2014, Spencer lost his ACL versus Washington, endangering his career. He was sidelined for the remainder of the season by the injury.

          Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons selected Spencer as the 38th overall choice in the 2014 NBA Draft. He participated in 34 games with the Pistons as a rookie, making one start and receiving 2 assignments to the Grand Rapids Drive, the Pistons’ D-League franchise. On February 20, 2015, when the Pistons were shorthanded due to two transfers, he made his only start.

However, after struggling in the following four games, he was taken out of the lineup, which was made worse by Blake’s better play and Brandon Jennings’ comeback from injury.

          Windy City Bulls

On June 17, 2016, the Chicago Bulls exchanged Spencer Dinwiddie for Cameron Bairstow.

He played in five preseason games until the Bulls released him on July 7, signed him again on July 28, and then again waived him on October 21.

On April 8, 2017, the player defeated the Chicago Bulls 107-106 by scoring 19 points and making four free throws in the final 13.6 seconds. Prior to Kyrie Irving’s shoulder injury, Spencer was a reserve during the first part of the 2019–20 NBA season.

In accordance with the NBA’s rules, he also changed his uniform number from 8 to 26 on January 28, 2020, in memory of the late Kobe Bryant. Spencer admitted that he had tested positive for COVID-19 on June 29, 2020.

          Washington Wizards

On August 6, 2021, the Wizards acquired Spencer in a sign-and-trade involving five teams that sent Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The player signed a three-year, $54 million contract with a potential $60 million incentive payment.

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertns on February 10, 2022, in exchange for Kristaps Porziis and a protected second-round pick in 2022.

          Return to Brooklyn

On February 6, 2023, the Mavericks dealt Spencer and Dorian Finney-Smith to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris. National Team Career

On February 6, 2023, the Mavericks dealt Spencer and Dorian Finney-Smith to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris.

In addition, the Nets acquired the Mavericks’ unprotected first-round pick in 2029 and their second-round picks in 2027 and 2029 as part of the exchange. The youngster, however, declared on April 19, 2020, that he loved to represent the Nigerian national team.

          Cryptocurrency & “Human Tokenization”

By introducing his DREAM Fan Shares, which allowed accredited investors to utilize virtual tokens to invest in Dinwiddie’s three-year, $34 million guaranteed deal, Dinwiddie became the first player in the NBA to use cryptocurrencies.

He had intended to raise $13.5 million by selling 90 “SD8” tokens for $150,000 apiece. When he first announced it in September 2019, the NBA vehemently objected; as of January 2020, talks with the NBA were ongoing.

The first position included a threat to exclude Dinwiddie from the league using language from Article 2.13 (d) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). (prohibiting athletes from transferring their right to a third party.)

However, only $1.35 million worth of tokens were raised, or 10% of the original goal.

Later, Dinwiddie understood that because crypto tokens frequently stand for less specific things, they do not always have to be backed by a contract. He then started working on his latest endeavor, “The Creator’s Galaxy.”

          Calaxy’s CEO and Chairman

Spencer is developing a social media site called Calaxy just for artists. Basketball player Spencer Dinwiddie and former banker Solo Ceesay founded it in 2020.

By giving creators a toolkit for communicating with their followers in one place and rewarding fans for their participation, Spencer aims to promote more fruitful and satisfying fan interactions.

On June 7, 2022, the firm secured $26 million in funding from notable investors, including NFL player Ezekiel Elliott and Matt James from The Bachelor.

The other notable personalities connected are NBA champion Iman Shumpert and entertainment icon Teyana Taylor.

Her Freshman of the Year selection marked a first for the Buffaloes in any conference. She was the only player in the Pac-12 to receive five Freshman of the Week honors. Roberson led the team in free throws made and attempted (97-of-142), third in blocked shots (24), fourth in steals, and second in scoring (12.1) and rebounding (6.2). (32). Stephen is the Golden State Warriors starting point guard and a three-time champion. Sydel married Warriors guard Damion Lee while playing volleyball for Elon University.

His faith is Christianity. When Seth was a little boy, his father, Dell, would always bring Seth and Stephen to his game, where they would genuinely train shooting while the teammates warmed up.

          High School & Education

Seth has had a love for basketball since he was in school. He attended Charlotte Christian School for his high school education and graduated in 2008.

For the Knights basketball team, Seth started every game for three years. In his senior year, Seth averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 52% from the field.

As the season ended, he received first-team ‘SAA All-American, all-state, and all-conference awards.

During his time there, he assisted his team in accumulating many victories, which led to his team, “Charlotte Christian,” arriving at their final state in 2006.

          College Career

He attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, the United States, after graduating from high school in 2008, where he averaged 20.2 points per game as a freshman.

All first-year students nationwide had an average that was the highest praiseworthy. As a rookie, he also set a new mark for points in a season in the Big South Conference.

He later planned to don the same number 30 jersey that his father and older brother wore during the pinnacle of their professional careers.

Curry eventually switched from Liberty to Duke University following the 2008–09 season. He was forced to withdraw from the 2009–10 basketball season in accordance with the transfer regulations.

Sitting out for a year on the basketball court is called redshirting. Seth Curry received his first opportunity at Duke after the second year when Kyrie Irving hurt his toe.

Curry put up a strong effort against “The Miami RedHawks” (Ohio), scoring 17 points on 57% of his shots.

Seth, who represented the “The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,” became the highest scorer in the 2011 campaign with 22 points against the “North Carolina Tar Heels.”

Then, playing for the “University of Santa Clara,” he scored 31 pts against the “Santa Clara Broncos.”

By the end of his senior year, Curry had been named to the “All-ACC” first team and the “All-American second team” by the renowned sports publication “Sporting News.”

          Professional career

          2013-14

Moving on to his professional career, Seth applied for the 2013 NBA draft. But no team selected him in the draft. He agreed to a non-guaranteed contract with The Golden State Warriors in August 2013.

And regrettably, on October 25, 2013, he was released from the organization after participating in six preseason contests.

He was later hired as a legal player by the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, and he started his career with 36 points, six assists, and three rebounds.

He collaborated with “The Memphis Grizzlies” in 2013, although this relationship was short-lived. After being released, he rejoined the Santa Cruz Warriors.

          2014 -15

For the 2014 NBA D-League All-Star Game, Seth was listed on the Futures All-Star roster. He signed a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2014 season but returned to the Warriors after the Cavaliers decided not to renew the contract.

In 38 games, he had an average of 19.7 points, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 3.1 rebounds. He joined the D-League training camp at the end of October 2014.

He later played for the “BayHawks,” leading his club to victory over the “Idaho Stampede,” scoring 23 points. He also appeared in a 10-day contract game for the “Phoenix Suns” against the “Minnesota Timberwolves.”

          2015 -16

He joined “The New Orleans Pelicans” in July 2015, where he averaged 24.3 points per game. He was then named to the first team of the NBA Summer League.

Seth signed a $2 million contract with “The Sacramento Kings,” where he recorded his highest scoring total of 42 points in a game against “The Portland Trail Blazers,” “The Miami Heat,” and later, “The Oklahoma City Thunder,” and “The Phoenix Suns.”

          2016 -18

Curry signed a contract with the Dallas Mavericks. He recorded his highest career point totals in victories over the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

He was forced to sit out the entire season due to a left tibia injury, which is unfortunate. Curry later joined the Portland Trail Blazers, where he competed against the Hawks, Hawks, and Suns of Phoenix.

          2019-20

He signed a four-year contract to join the Dallas Mavericks again on July 10, 2019. On November 18, 2020, he was exchanged for Josh Richardson and sent to the Philadelphia 76ers.

          2021-22

Everyone knows that Seth Curry’s injured hand prevented him from participating in the NBA All-Star game last year. He was featured this year, though; of course, he made the game more enticing.

He had all the flowing movements, and it was his first time playing with LeBron James. How can we overlook his dunk, too? Curry didn’t win the MVP or make the game-winning shot overall.

But he seized the spotlight right away. With three of his four shots coming from the area six feet behind the 3-point line, he won the 3-point duel.

Curry also passed the ball to set up a dunk from Nikola Jokic after his teammate’s missed dunk. He had created a terrible defense overall.

          2023

Curry was dealt to the Brooklyn Nets on February 10, 2022, along with Ben Simmons, Andre Drummond, and two additional first-round selections in exchange for Paul Millsap and James Harden. Curry helped the Nets snap an 11-game losing streak on February 14 by leading the club in scoring with 23 pts in a 109-85 victory over the Sacramento Kings. He had surgery on his left ankle on May 9.

          National Team Career

Seth competed for the United States at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship in New Zealand, defeating Greece in the championship game 88-80. For this competition, Curry averaged 9.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.

          Recognition & Achievements

As we all know, Curry needed to take the time to establish himself or carve out a niche for himself. Curry has been playing an average of 23.1 minutes per game, averaging 10.3 points, 44.2 3-pointers, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
