Thomas Tuchel was blamed for instigating Antonio Conte’s bankruptcy
An independent monitoring committee has accused Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel of instigating his clash with Tottenham’s Antonio Conte earlier this month.
The two teams drew 2-2 at Stamford Bridge in a fascinating and controversial match, before Tuchel and Conte went head-to-head in a handshake after the game, with both managers being shown red cards for their actions.
Tuchel was handed a £35,000 fine and a one-match ban, while Conte has been ordered to pay £15,000 and the committee behind the punishment has now revealed their reasons.
