There’s no question that West Ham has outperformed in the past two Premier League seasons, finishing sixth and seventh, respectively, and this is the start of a test for the Hammers.
In fact, with four wins, two draws, and seven losses in 13 games, they have only scored 14 points, which is only enough for 13th place and only 2 points above the relegation zone.
Not too many are expecting David Moyes’ side to challenge for a top-four finish this season, but they are already 10 points shy of a Champions League spot and appear to be vying for a first-half spot if they are. It would be a disaster to enjoy Europa League success.
The Eagles will also go into the weekend in solid form, having lost just one of their last five matches in the league, picking up three victories in the process, including a 1-0 win over Southampton last weekend victory.
Odsonne Edouard’s first-half effort was enough to beat Saints, but Crystal Palace is yet to win away from home this season, drawing three draws and losing two of their five away games.
Patrick Vieira’s side has three games left before the World Cup season break, after which they travel to Newcastle United in the EFL Cup and visit Nottingham Forest next weekend. Two A strong positive result could get them into and around the top seven.
Crystal Palace has not beaten West Ham in the league since December 2019 and lost 3-2 in their last meeting earlier this year, but they did draw 2-2 at the London Stadium last season got the point in a draw.

All Richards, Niyhart, Toflo, and Kolbeck are out with injuries. On the other hand, the Bees are aiming to end their three-game winless run, but beating Nottingham away at home is easier said than done. A close game is on the horizon, and we believe there is great value in betting on a draw. Remember that crucial attacker Ivan Toney was banned.

While much of the pre-match talk on social media has focused on whether Bournemouth vs. Southampton classifies as a derby, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side did what they needed on the Vitality Stadium turf to end their frustrating streak.
Che Adams was on the field to greet Romain Perrault’s perfect cross and took home the opener with nine minutes remaining. In comparison, the Saints’ defense held firm for the remaining 81 minutes despite Mohamed Sa Lisu’s ask to create an essential second-half clearance from the goal line.
Vitality’s victory ended Southampton’s five-game winless run. However, Ralf Hasenhuttl is undoubtedly still a man under enormous pressure, despite his side leading all the way to 14th in the standings, now with a downgrade place.
Southampton was in the spotlight when Kyle Walker-Peters limped away against Bournemouth in midweek, and the right-back has now joined Amel Bella’s Long-standing lineup of Cochap (shoulder), Valentino Livramento (knee), and Romeo Lavia (thigh). Treatment room for hamstring injuries.
With Ainsley Maitland-Niles unable to face his home team, Hasenhuttl faced a tricky situation at right-back. 18-year-old Lewis Payne will likely be for this match, but Mohamed Eliyunoussi could play at full-back in a 3-5-2 formation.
As such, Lyanco will join Duje Caleta-Car and Salisu at the back, while Diallo, James Ward-Prowse, and Stuart Armstrong will form the core of the midfield.
As for Arsenal, Saka was a constant threat on the right against PSV, but all he showed was a calf kick. The 21-year-old moved cautiously toward the end of the game, but Arteta was hopeful he could get rid of the problem quickly.
St Mary’s discontent persists even after their win over Bournemouth, who have been left untouched by Gary O’Neill’s tenure. The lack of a recognized right-back will leave Gabriel Martinelli licking his lips.
Gone are the weak spots Arsenal used to expose on the south coast, and we back Arteta’s side to end their one-goal winning streak thanks to a two-goal success that kept them out of sight in the top flight.
