Manchester City CEO rules out sale of Bernardo Silva this summer
Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has closed the door on Bernardo Silva’s departure from the club ahead of the transfer deadline due to ongoing links with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona has been chasing Silva, in particular, this summer, while Manchester City was forced to deny Catalan media reports in July that a transfer deal had been reached.
Silva has been a star on the pitch for Manchester City in recent years, playing a key role in their multiple Premier League titles. Despite the joy of playing for the club, he began to feel uneasy off the pitch and began looking for a move as early as the first Covid-19 lockdown in England in 2020.
