Tyler Herro is hard working for the next season, trade talk, or team extension
Tyler Herro is eligible to re-sign with the Miami Heat this offseason, but there are more trade rumors than new contracts.
“I mean, it happens every summer,” Herro said. “I mean, since I’ve been here, my name has been in the rumors. So the rumors, they don’t bother me. Whether I’m with the Heat or anywhere else, I’m doing my best for this season. well prepared.”
In the final year of his rookie deal, Herro will earn $5.7 million in the upcoming season, and he is eligible to sign a five-season extension worth up to $188 million this offseason. The salary for the first year (2023-24) is $32.5 million.
“I mean, I know as much as you know,” Herro said when asked how the potential extension talks with the Heat were going. “I’m just waiting for my turn, and we’ll see what happens. There’s a deadline, but I’ll let my agent deal with it and see what happens.”
