Brooklyn Nets: Forward Kevin Durant set to miss at least two weeks with a knee injury
The Nets are struggling due to Kevin Durant’s injury, and the team will be without him. After Sunday night’s victory over the Miami Heat, he needs at least two weeks to sustain their right MCL sprain. The club announced Monday that Durant would be re-evaluated in two weeks. However, ESPN reported Monday that Durant is expected to be sidelined for a month.
Durant appeared to injure his knee when the Heat’s Jimmy Butler rolled onto his leg without intention in the 3rd quarter of the game. Kevin immediately grabbed at his right knee and stayed on the floor for a moment before he proceeded back to the locker room.
When Kevin was sidelined for six weeks last NBA season with a knee sprain, the Brooklyn Nets lost eleven in a row between a 5/16 stretch. Kevin Durant this season is averaging 29.7 ppg, 6.7 for rebounds, 5.3 for their assists, and 1.5 blocks per game. The Net’s standings 27-13, who have 14 victories of their last 15, put into Monday one game behind the first-place Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference.
