Miami Heat Icon Dwyane Wade leaves TNT after three years. Why?
After three years with TNT, Dwyane Wade turned down the new contract offer. Wade made the decision to sit out this season. Despite TNT’s desire to keep him, his current priorities are his multiple business interests. TNT stated unequivocally that there are no animosities between the parties.
Wade has been a regular on TNT’s Tuesday night panel along with former Heat colleague Shaquille O’Neal and two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker. For the network, he also covered All-Star Weekend.
The most decorated member of the squad is Wade. He has contributed to the team winning three NBA championships and is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. After being selected in the 2003 draft out of Marquette, Wade retired in 2019. Before leaving the Heat in 2016 for brief stints with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, he spent all but 18 months with the team.
After all, Wade’s decision will be upheld. Despite his departure from the team, he leaves a lasting impression.
