NBA 2022 Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Oklahoma City entered this game on a two-game winning streak last weekend and beat the Raptors and Knicks the previous weekend. Meanwhile, the Celtics have been even hotter in this game, winning six straight and losing just once in November.

The Oklahoma City Thunder look like a team that has the potential to make some noise this season, especially after selecting Holmgren with the second overall pick in June.

Holmgren, however, suffered a foot injury about a month-and-a-half before the season and will not be on the court this year. Still, OKC has shown significant signs of progress.

The Thunder’s offensive rating of 110.6 ranks 19th in 13 games. That’s not an impressive number overall, but it’s a considerable improvement from the preseason offensive rating of 103.8.

The Boston Celtics were a big hit against a team at Madison Square Garden and will play back-to-back the next night. It probably won’t work out as Vegas foresaw, but assuming the Thunder aren’t exhausted by scoring 145 points in New York City last Sunday, it’s over for a Boston team that edged out Detroit last Saturday. It may be an ongoing safe race.
