Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown supports Kyrie Irving
Today marks Kyrie Irving’s return to the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets. His homecoming meant much more to many people, especially Black Hebrew Israelites, than just a basketball player rejoining a team.
A sizable gathering of Black Hebrew Israelites assembled in front of the Barclays Center before Irving’s homecoming to show their support. By using the term “energetic” in a quotation tweet, Celtics player Jaylen Brown echoed their feelings.
The situation might be more complicated than Jaylen anticipated when he tweeted the video with a comment. Jaylen’s desire to support Irving was quite obvious, as it has been throughout his whole suspension. However, it’s not entirely clear whether or not he understands what the Black Hebrew Israelites stand for. The ADL lists a large portion of their organization as an extremist group, and they hold many divisive beliefs. It’s important to note that Jaylen Brown also left Donda when Kanye West delivered his antisemitic remarks.
The Brooklyn Nets want to limit their attention to basketball for the time being. The group has now started to gel, picking up some impressive victories over the opposition. They have occasionally been blatantly outmatched, but with Kyrie Irving back, it may swiftly resolve that issue. If they defeat the Memphis Grizzlies, Brooklyn can move in that direction even without Ja Morant.
