Who are the highest-paid NBA players 2021?
The skills are outstanding, the gift of heaven is enviable, but perhaps the most impressive is the income. This are the Top 5 list of the most highest-paid NBA Players 2021.
1. LeBron James (USD$111.2 million)
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Total Earnings: USD$111.2 million
Salary: USD$41.2 million
Endorsements: USD$70 million
The king is still supreme. On his way to becoming the second billionaire in the league, LeBron James created an impressive $70 off the court, paying $32 million a year for the deal with Nike alone. This number, plus his salary of $41.2 million, is enough to make him top the list of NBA players with the highest income in the 2021-22 season.
Most notably, SpringHill, his media and entertainment business, announced the sale of a minority stake at a valuation of US$725 million. In addition, James was similar to Epic Games’ Fortnite in July. Just this week, he joined the gym company Tonal as an investor and brand ambassador.
2. Steph Curry (USD$92.8 million)
Team: Golden State Warriors
Total Earnings: USD$92.8 million
Salary: USD$45.8 million
Endorsements: USD$47 million
Ranked second in this year’s list of the highest paid NBA players is the shooting god Stephen Curry. The two-time MVP and Golden State Warriors star earned 92.8 million U.S. dollars during this period, including off-court income of up to 47 million U.S. dollars. Curry’s biggest development is the announcement that his new Under Armour supports the Curry brand.
The new joint venture is valued at approximately US$20 million per year and incorporates a wide range of sports footwear, clothing and accessories, but if the brand takes off, it will pick up. Curry’s other joint ventures include his own production company Unanimous Media, which is responsible for the production of the competition series “Holey Moley.” Also last month, he announced a new endorsement agreement with cryptocurrency platform FTX.
3. Kevin Durant (USD$87.9 million)
Team: Brooklyn Nets
Total Earnings: USD$87.9 million
Salary: USD$40.9 million
Endorsements: USD$47 million
Kevin Durant’s contract is almost as big as his, but the former MVP really scored in December. Uber, a large technology company, acquired Postmates, a startup that Durant invested in 2016, for $2.65 billion. According to “Forbes” reports, due to the acquisition, Durant turned his initial $1 million into $15 million.
Durant has invested in more than 80 companies through his company Thirty-5Ventures. His stakes in investment applications Robinhood and Acorns, online banking Mercury, fitness tracker WHOOP, and dream sports start-up Sleeper will win.
4. Giannis Antekounmpo (USD$80.3 million)
Team: Milwaukee Bucks
Total Earnings: USD$80.3 million
Salary: USD$39.3 million
Endorsements: USD$41 million
Defending champion Giannis Antetokounmpo appears on the list of the highest paid NBA players for the 2021-22 season. As early as December of last year, the Greek freak signed the most lucrative contract in NBA history and signed a five-year contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks worth up to $228 million.
Antetokounmpo, who is only 26 years old, is definitely one of the youngest players on this list, so you can expect his stock to rise in the next few years, especially if it has anything to do with Disney. According to reports, after he became an NBA star from Greece, the entertainment giant locked the copyright to a movie about his life. According to Forbes, the film will be released in 2022.
5. Russell Westbrook (USD$74.2 million)
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Total Earnings: USD$74.2 million
Salary: USD$44.2 million
Endorsements: USD$30 million
For Russell Westbrook, these have been interesting years. Several teams and a series of unstable conditions may have reduced the former MVP’s stock price, but this did not affect his income. Last year, Westbrook received an impressive $74.2 million, most of which came from Nike’s partners and 10 Southern California car dealers.
